Turboprop Spitfire
A beautiful R/C scale turboprop Spitfire. What a great
feeling it must be to fly this plane. Smooth, great sounding, and a perfect sunset
to fly by.

Awesome Pylon Racing
A standard 3 pylon course is 1/4 mile and they do 10 laps
(13,200 ft. and more like 14,000 ft. actual flight paths). The Formula Ones do 10
laps in a minute or less averaging from 160mph to 170mph. Man, what a rush!!!

3D Heli Magic
Is it possible to be any more dazzled by extreme heli
3D flying than what Eric Larson does in this video? It almost makes one think magic
is for real.

Full Scale Air Disasters
Here is another collection of real aviation disasters set to
the same fitting music that was used in the "Jet World Masters 5" crash video
further down. This is a bit similar to the "Duel of Fates" video also
further down. This one also starts out with the F-14 breaking the sound barrier
which is not a disaster itself, but the rest are. Sobering stuff.

Don't Blink!
Just how far can pieces of a plane be spread apart from each
other on impact. I would have to give this one a 10. Oh ya, that's turbine
power.

Egg Beater 2
The real action starts about halfway in this video.
This one goes beyond egg beating and tries to whip up a nice fluffy omelet. Make
mine a western.

Egg Beater 1
One difference between helis and planes is, planes usually
give up the ghost on impact. Helis tend to get in a state of denial and keep on
keep'in on.

F-18 Hornet
This is the most incredible scale detailed R/C model I have
ever seen. You'll swear the stills are of a real F-18 by the amazing detail of the
landing gear and everything else, but pushrods and control horns are visible under the
ailerons which is about the only thing I can see to suggest it's a model. The nimble
camera panning around it seems to also suggest model size.

Same B-52, Test Crash?
This videographer did a much better job. The announcer
gleans some more insight on this awesome creation as well. This Baby-52
did actually use a turbine in each of the 8 nacelles. Click the "Bonus
Photos" link for some beautiful shots of this model before its demise, and some of
the sadly shattered remains afterward. Bonus

B-52 Test Flight
This is an incredible R/C achievement. This video was
originally 30 megs. The videographer had horrid hand control and I deleted a lot of
the nearly unwatchable and boring scenes plus added some pleasing fades.

oblivious and made me chuckle.

Duel of Fates...
...is what the author titled this collection of major
aviation disasters in the extreme. He must not have realized that the very
first clip is not a disaster, but merely the sound barrier being breached by an F-14,
which is the same footage in the "F-14 Mach Shock" video below, but the rest is
for real.

Wind Whippers
I can't believe the wings didn't rip off these guys sail
planes. Can you imagine hand launching a plane just by letting go of it, only to
have it do an instant straight up elevator at 45mph? What a rush!

Heli Smacker
This dedicated novice epitomizes the heart and soul of a
true R/C adventurer. And to top it off, the good sport posted his video on the RC
Universe forum for everybody to get a good laugh. What spirit! If at first you
don't succeed, try, try, try, again, and again, and again.

Watch him quick raise and lower in the hovering torque

plane dwarfs the pilot.

before turbines were introduced to R/C, slope soarers held the R/C aircraft speed records.

F-14 Mach Shock
Just the same way con trails form off wing tips, the
moisture in the air is momentarily turned to steam from the shockwave compression.
Too bad this video has no sound, but it's cool none the less. Note how the jet
buffets big time at frame 0:50:19.
