This is just a fictitious R/C promotion I made up just for the sake of experimenting with the video editors and graphics software. I just grabbed some recent images and video clips, among others, from my R/C media folder to make it up. I thought the jet at the end turned out pretty cool.

Pat's Chopper (Shot Jan/07)
Mello put together this neat slideshow video of his brother Pat flying his first heli. The camera's shutter speed was fast enough to freeze the spinning blades and it almost looks like it's hanging on a string, but Pat was actually flying it in Jeff's basement. I thought it looked awfully close to Jeff's Ultimate Bipe project. Yeeeow.

I had the honor of test flying Bob's 1/5th scale Kange Super Kraft UPF-7 WACO. The plane is simply superb from top to bottom. Bob did a great job putting it all together along with an awesome smoke system. It flies like a dream.

The Chipmunk that Colin Built (Shot Mar/11/06)
Another fun Club video by Colin Kling of the first flights of this beautiful G.P. Chipmunk ARF that Colin was contracted to build for our Club V.P. Paul Rudy's friend Georges Thiret and I was given the honor and pleasure of giving it the first test flight. It's the kind of plane modelers dream about. The pressure line came off the muffler in the middle of the test flight and had to dead stick which practically flew itself back it flies so nice. We secured that and George was thrilled to fly his new gem. Colin did a top notch job building the plane and it showed.

Quick & Easy Rear Bearing Removal (Shot Feb/24/06)
Tim Barefoot had 3 O.S. 46 FX's that he had trouble getting the rusted rear bearings out of. He let me take a shot at getting them out and I thought it would be cool to document it to help others.

Big Stik 60 Snow Drags! (Shot Dec/23/05)
I was trying stir up interest in ground drag racing with our planes, possibly without the wings. I finally gave it a try in the snow and left my wing on and inverted the flaps for lots of down force. It's definitely a rough game in the crusty snow, and funny. I still think it would make a cool fun fly event. You can actually see my tail ski rip off at 1:50 into the video, just as I crossed to the end of the grass bare spot, the lip of the snow snagged it.

Bob's Training Flight (Shot Nov/6/05)
Dave Kling put together this nice documentation of new YARCC member, Bob Rodkey and his Hangar 9 PTS P-51 Mustang incredible low wing trainer. This was only Bob's second day and his 3rd thru 6th flights and in fairly nasty winds. He never flew R/C before and was taking off by his fourth flight on this aircraft. P.s. Dave mistakenly dated for the 15th in the credits.

LR-1 Test Flight (part 2 & 3) (Shot Sep/25 & Oct/2 of '05)
The sequel, or sequels, is here. Over 13 minutes documenting my LR-1 test flights over 2 weekends and I combined both parts into one video. This will definitely conclude the LR-1 saga and I hope this little fireball sees many flights. It's simply a blast to fly. A big thanks to Colin and Dave Kling for all the great videography and pre-editing.

Paul's Cool Corsair (Shot multiple days around Oct/24/04)
I decided to make this last minute video showing one of our newer Club member's, Paul Rudy, recently acquired Hangar 9 F4U Corsair. This plane flies as beautiful as it looks, even though we had a few minor mishaps. I was the one who stalled it on the first landing, but I redeemed myself with a successful emergency landing later. Paul is really getting the hang of this plane very fast.

I Flew the Heinkel! (Shot Oct/10/04)
Here is another video I made of my attempt to fly this wicked little pylon racer. I'm not sure why the previous owner called this a Heinkel. It looks like it could be modeled after some of the Ernst Heinkel designs, but I now believe this is a Matney Models ME-109A QM15 pylon racer. Matney Models quater midget page The BF/ME-109 is a Willy Messerschmitt design.

What's good for the goose... Mello got me on video (with my own camera) in a somewhat embarrassing moment back in October 2003 at the Blue and Gray Chili Fly. It was a prelude to a more impacting heli incident. Mine prefered the ground.
